This shiur is meant to serve as an introduction to the sugya of Geirus, the many dimensions of this Halachik institution. We will enter this sugya by addressing the question: was there Geirus before Matan Torah? The bulf of sorces in Chazal lead us to conclude that the was Geirus before Matan Torah. How was that geirus effectuated & was it identical Geirus to that of Matan Torah?
