In this shiur for Aggadeta of Masechet Berachot, we will study the various prayers of the Amoraim that were added at the conclusion of the Amida. Some of the themes of these prayers include: enhancing the power of love; Divine compassion even when undeserved; the ability to serve Hashem from two conflicting perspectives, the greatness of man & his lowliness; strengthening the genuine inner will of man to fulfill His Will; beseeching God to recognize man's humiliation even when that humiliation is unjustified; the longing for God's revelation to the nations of the world. These insights are based upon the writings of HaRav A. Y. Kook & HaRav Y. D. Soloveichik.
