In this shiur for Masechet Berachot 18a, we continue our study of the question: what generates אנינות with its Issur Berachos U'Mitzvos? Is it the Chovas Kevura or the התעסקות עם המת, i.e. the actual involment in the process of burial? We will see the Yerushalmi that vacillates on this point. With regard to aninus on Shabbos and Yom Tov, we will see a contradiction in the yerushalmi and two approaches in Tos' to try to reconcile this contradiction. We will study the subject of burial on Yom Tov Rishon & Sheini, and the fundamental question of הותרה או דחויה. Why did the decision of Rav Moshe Soloveichik to delay the burial of the Dayan of Rasain engender such controversy?
