We will study the rule that invalidates the sale of futures, and the three categories of exceptions to this general rule. In the light of those exceptions we will try to understand why Halacha would recognize the sale of the בכורה by Esau to Yaakov. Since Yitzchok was still alive, Esau had no ownership rights to the ירושה, so how could he sell the Bechora?
