Description

Why does the drop of milk spread throughout the piece of meat? Is the milk classified as a דבר שמן which continues to spread? Or perhaps the milk spreads because the meat that receives the milk is a שמן? Alternatively the milk spreads due to the reality of a pot simmering on the fire with a heat that causes spreading. Once the piece of meat is infected by the milk, does it automatically prohibit the balance of the contents of the pot (which is cooking), or do we need ניעור in order to create the פעפוע of the top piece of the meat & the balance of the pot? We will study the debate between Rashi & Tos': is the top piece of meat partially submerged in the רוטב, or completely above the רוטב? Does Bitul operate in Basar Bechalav?
