Description
The Pasuk says how Yaakov settled in Eretz Canaan. Rashi explains that yaakov and the other tzaddikim want to live in peace and tranquility. But Hashem asks, "is it not enough that you will have a great World To Come that you also need peace in This World?"
The Rebbe explains how when someone is pained deeply internally and externally, it brings about an utter silence on them. When the Tzaddikim asked for tranquility, it wasn't so that they could relax, rather they were asking if they could adjust themselves to be used to the pain and suffering instead of being overcome by them constantly.
