In this shiur for Chulin 105a, we will study the sugya of Beis Hillel & Beis Shammai regarding rinsing one's mouth with water & cleaning one's mouth by biting into a tough substance. The sugya offers three different interpretations of B"H & B"S, the last of which claims that there is no Machlokes. We will study the unique opinion of the Rashba who claims that one or the other, קינוח or הדחה, is sufficient. We will study the four proofs to the view of the Rashba. In this shiur we will study the various opinions among-st the Rishonim & Achronim as to what is the purpose of קינוח and הדחה.
