Description

In Masechet Chulin 105a, Rav Chisda prohibits eating cheese straighaway following a meat meal. What are the reasons for separating a meat meal from a subsequent milchik meal? We will study the opinions of Rashi & the Rambam and the 5 נפק"מ. Tos' has an entirely different understanding of the nature of the the requirement to separate the eating of meat from the subsequent milky meal. We will analyze the debate between Rashi & the Rambam on the one hand, and Tos' on the other. In the light of this analysis we can deepen our understanding of the opinion of Rabenu Tam who separates the two meals with קינוח והדחה. At the end of the shiur we will introduce the Mishna on 107b.
