      Can you please send me The MAAREH MEKOMOT to this SHIUR. also the link to the debate that you had with IDB, and MAAREH MEKOMOT. "if there is a Rabbinic will, there is a Rabbinic way" Do we not have personal and cultural pressures on the gedolim to look more intensely for answers to certain halachic questions? I recall vaguely the Rav and Rav Aharon Lichtenstein discussing the effect of history on HALACHA and looking at historical phenomena as not effecting directly the HALACHA but it is the catalyst that motivates the GADOL to search more intensely to find a HALACHIC solution. This motivation is perhaps the "Rabbinic will".
