Description

Continuing a piece on Rosh Hashana from the Aish Kodesh. Its a time completely about Hashem and his 'malchus' and not about ourselves. What the rebbe speaks about in this piece is getting to the point where our own personal requests are not really about ourselves but rather included in praising Hashem and his malchus. When we are in a low state from the rest of the year and we feel distant from Hashem, we call out in broken-heartedness. This calling out and screaming shows how we feel Hashem in our presence in a big way. The sound of the shofar represents a connection with hashem that we are unable to put into words. Our Tefillos have to be different on RH than the rest of the year or else it shows that we are still distant from hashem.
