Description

As King of all Kings, Hashem governs his kingdom with two distinct qualities: the quality of Mishpat and the quality of Yichud. Judgement and Unity. These two qualities correspond to the two reasons brought by the Arizal as to why Hashem created the world. On Rosh Hashana, the two of them blend together in a perfect unity. This concept is the secret of the Shofar, and manifests itself in many ways on Rosh HaShana.
