Description
In this shiur for Masechet Berachot 14b, we will study the sugya of Parshas VaYomer &as the 3rd Parsha of Kriyas Shema shel Arvis according to the opinion that there is no mitzva of Tzitzis at night. Our acceptance upon ourselves of the mitzva of tzitzis as an act of קבלת עול מלכות שמים is impossible at night. Is there a way of reciting VaYomer at night and salvaging the dimension of Kabbalas Ol Malchus Shamayim of this parsha that is independent of Tzitzis? Is there a way of reading this parsha while omitting Tzitzis? We will study the 3 opinions in the sugya and how to reconcile this sugya with the Rambam. Our understanding of the Rambam is based upon Reb Chaim Brisker's premise that Zechiras Yetzias Mitzrayim is part of Kriyas Shema.
