Description
For Bein HaZemanim, and in preparation for the month of Elul, we will continue our study of the Rambam Hilchos Teshuva, Chapter 3. How do we classify all men under one of three categories? Does it depend on the quantitative calculation of one's sins and merits, or upon the overall assessment of the person and his relationship to the Almighty? How often and on what occasions does the individual undergo a judgment that will establish his category? What are the repercussions of these experiences of judgement? What is the relationship between the individual judgement and that of the state and the entire world? What does the Rambam mean that one who is condemned as a Rasha "immediately he will die"? Why would the death penalty be postponed?
