Description
In this shiur "Ma'aseh & Chalos in Kavanas Ol Malchus Shamayim of Kriayas Shema" we will investigate 1 of the fundamental distinctions used by Brisk. We will reconcile many of the contradictions that surface in the sugya of kavanas Shema. This shiur, largely based on the insights of the Rav in a Yahtzeit shiur, addresses the q': how does the Rambam require kavana in the 1st pasuk only & while he presents 3 essential elements in Kabalas Malchus Shamayim - יחודו אהבתו ותלמודו - which appear (respectively) in the 1st THREE verses of Shema? Why is עמידה required in the 1st pasuk only, while a worker must take a break for the entire 1st parsha? How does the 1st pasuk alone suffice for the Shema of Rebby & for one who fell asleep & must be woken.
