Description

Yeshayahu reduces the 613 mitzvot to 6! What are the attributes & ethical principles that serve as the backbone of Torah, Mitzvot & the way of a Jew? Other Nevi'im, Micha & Chavakuk, further "reduced" the number of overriding principles, the observance of which will guarantee a Jew a place in the world to come. To achieve the lofty level of "dwelling in the abode of 'קדשיך' and intimacy with Shechina" one would need to fulfill all 11 or all 6, etc., but one of the 11 or 6 will guarantee oneself a place in the world to come. We will study the 3 mitzvos of Micha and the 2 of Yeshayhu, the 1 of Chavakuk, & complete the Masechet with 2 stories of R' Akiva & his colleagues. This will be an appropriate message for the three weeks & the 9 days.
