Description

We continue our analysis of the requirement of Kavana in Mitzvot in general, and particularly in Kriyat Shema. If we assume that the Rambam accepts the view of the requirement of Kavana in Mitzvot, as indicated in Shofar & Megilla, why does the קורא להגיה fulfill his obligation without kavana throughout the reading of the three parshiot of Kriyat Shema? Furthemore, how do we understand the Rambam in Matzah where he fulfills his mitzva without kavana? We will define the nature of the requirement of Kavana and justify the Rambam in Kriyat Shema & in Matzah.
