In this shiur for Masechet Berachot 13a-13b: on the requirement of Kavana for Kriat Shema we will analyze the Halacha of Kavana with regard to all mitzvot and the unique Kavana of Kriat Shema. We will analyze the principle of מצות צריכות כוונה as it applies to the mitzva of Matzah, shofar, and krias ha'megilla.
