In this shiur on the Aggadeta of Masechet Berachot 10a, we will study the controversy between Chizkiyahu & Yeshayahu al pi HaRav A.Y. HaKohen Kook in his Ein Aya. While the Navi puts the emphasis on the future and the perspective of eternity, the King is concerned about the immediate future. Chizkiyahu's evil son, if allowed to sit on the throne of Malchus will threaten the well being of the nation; nevertheless, from the approach of Nevuah the future of Malchus shel Yisrael is guaranteed - if only the chain of Dovid HaMelech will continue. We will reveal the deeper meaning behind the argument of Chizkiyahu that prayer can defeat even a Divine decree, and the difference between the two sons of Chizkiyahu.
