Halacha for Pesach: Is private ownership a pre-condition for Matzah? The sugya presents a Gezeira Shava that just like Maaser Sheini is excluded from Challa, so too is Maaser Sheini excluded from Matzah. Yet the Rambam disqualified a stolen Matzah for an entirely different reason, namely because of the Aveira of Gezel. We emphasize that the Torah does not mention לכם in Matzah as if does in Lulav. We will examine the possibility that Matzah does not require ownership, but ממון גבוה is excluded as it is excluded from Challa.
