In this shiur for Masechet Pesachim 31b, we will study the case of חמץ שנפלה עליו מפלת, i.e. buried Chometz, the status of which is classified by the Mishna as "like destroyed Chametz". We will compare this case to the case of one who designates a house or a room as a storage room and objects are piled up on top of his Chametz. Our question is: פטר או קיום? We will study three opinions, Rashi & Rambam on two extremes, the Smak as a compromise opinion. Is there a requirement of ביטול? If so, why? Would it make a difference if the Mapoles fell before the 30 day period before Pesach? Is there an issue of violating בל יטמין? We will study the Rambam re: Matzah of טבל או גזל. Finally we will analyze the nature of Hallel on the Leil HaSeder.
