This shiur (Part 2 of 2) investigates the classic question regarding the seeming overlap between the mitzvot of zechirat yetziat mitzrayim and sippur yetziat mitzrayim. We question the assumptions underlying this question and attempt to pinpoint precisely how and why the mitzvah of telling the story of the Exodus at the Seder developed. Incorporating the groundbreaking research of David Henshke, we also sought to explain the possible reasons why the mitzvah of sippur came to typify our experience of the upcoming chag.
