In this pshat shiur for the Aggadeta of Masechet Berachot 8a, we will learn about the significance of praying with the Tzibbur, or at least synchronizing one's Tefilla with the moment of Tefillas HaTzibbur. We will study the extreme emphasis on joining the Tzibbur in the Beis HaKneses and the harsh Divine punishment meted out to one who refuses to frequent the Beis HaKneses. We will learn about the relationship between Tefilla & longevity. Those who daven in shul bring the Shechina & benefit all their "neighbors". Those who frequent the shul serve as "guardians" of the shul. Finally, why must one enter the "two doorways" of the Beis HaKneses?
