P. 318. THIS IS THE FINAL SHIUR OF THIS SERIES. Whether we're conscious of it or not, the kedushah (sanctity) and eternity of Hashem are our purpose and desire. Sanctifying and surrounding even the most basic part of a Jew with Hashem's light. A goyish "intellectual" is simply incapable of properly compehending either the nefesh (soul) or guf (body) of a Jews. We need to reveal how a Jew works, what a Jew is - not just to be an "orthodox," "routine" Jew, but to be a chassid (devout follower) of Hashem. Chassidus (devoutness) does not depend on seforim (holy books), but on us. Living according to the rhythm of life is not enough, and older people are quite good at it; hence the Rebbe addressed his sefer to the avreichim (young people). He asks that the avreichim engage life with chamimus (warmth), hisragshus (emotions) and hispailus (excitement). The Ba'al Shem Tov envisioned that we would be chassidim regardless of whether we're in the Beis Medrash (study hall), at work, or otherwise interacting with the world at large. The Rebbe's closing prayer.
