P316. What is a Jew and how do we use the kochos (Inner strengths) of our nefesh. Rebbi was crying before he left this world to look into himself to reveal his own "ani." Closeness to Hashem is not via the intellect. Cannot know Hashem without knowing ourself. Good eating habits influence the neshama (soul). Ultimate teshuvah based on returning our body to Hashem. Rambam stresses that we need to know our own nefesh.
