Description

P. 305. What happens when a person can't sustain the energy for mitzvos (commandments) and good deeds and cannot keep the yetzer harah (evil inclination) at bay? For most people it's not even a possiblity to change the yetzer harah into good - at best, we can utilize the tools of bad for good things. Hasmadah (consistency), perseverance and dilligence can help a person overcome his evil inclination. Purim is the time when we learn to be ovdei (servants of) Hashem even though we are still living under the rule of Achashverosh. On Shavuos the neshamah (soul) received the Torah, but on Purim the guf (body) also receives the Torah. Jews who go to shul every day, and those who only show up on Shabbos and Yom Tov (holidays). Accustoming our bodies to the rhythm of a life of kedushah (holiness). Over time, every person begins to understand how his particular kochos (strengths) and nature work. A person must learn and understand the "user manual" for himself; how else will he work on himself and improve?
