Description

Avraham is the embodiment of Chessed and Yitzchak is the embodiment of Gevurah. These traits, however, are neutral, and when pulled to their extremes can become destructive. The negative and extreme elements of Chessed were removed from the system in the form of Yishmael. The negative and extreme elements of Gevurah are removed from the system through Eisav. We define Gevurah, explore its distortions, how they are removed with Eisav, and how we are meant to achieve balance within the Middot.
