We continue our study of the Pachad Yitzchok for Purim, and we wonder why Yaakov didn't move Efrayim to his right but instead crisscrossed his hands. We not that the Saro shel Esau injured Yaakov in the thigh, but that Yakov's hands were able to stave off Saro shel Esau. Consider that later on Yaakov stops limping & this fortells the ultimate destruction of Amalek. It is then that we start dancing & demonstrate the victory over the Saro shel Esau. In the latter half of this shiur we wil discuss the heresy of Amalek and his denial of free choice. It is the 'machtzit hashekel' which celebrates the victory of our faith in free choice. What is the deeper meaning of Haman's offer of a full shekel rather than a half?
