Description

In this Pshat shiur for the Aggadeta on Masechet Berachot 6b-7a, we will address three questions: 1st, how are we to evaluate created beings in their relationship to the true Tzaddik, the Yerei Elokim? Is the latter the only being on this earth that truly exists? 2nd, Does God pray, and what is the essence of His prayer? Is there a 2nd Beis HaMikdash where Hashem prays? 3rd, Does the gemorah advocate initiating She'elas Shalom even when one has doubts if his friend will respond properly? Should we greet non-Jews as well? This last point explains why R' Yaakov Kaminetzky's Beis avel was visited by a nun from Monsey. In all these issues we will study the insights of HaRav Kook on these aggadic statements of the Gemarah.
