In honor of Reb Yisrael Salanter's Yahrtzeit, founder of the Mussar Movement, which falls on Parshas Mishpatim, we will offer a Mussar shmooze on the proper attitude towards Mitzvot in general, but particularly on Mishpatim Bein Adam LiChaveiro. The powerful story about Reb Yisrael as a Shabbos guest at his talmid's home will teach us about the approach of this giant towards B"A LiChaveiro. We will see that the letter 'vav' at the beginning of Mishpatim teaches volumes about our attitude toward mitzvot. We will study the Netziv's unique explanation for 'Naaseh VeNishma'. When we try to rationalize mitzvot we violate the dictum of the Shalah that if we lived for 2000 years we couldn't scratch the surface of the infinite meaning of Mitzvot.
