Description
Why did Chazal establish two days of Purim? In this essay, the Pachad Yitzchok asks if the battle against Amalek is defensive or offensive, and formulates two categories of Milchemes Amalek. Each of these types require another day of Purim. This thesis will answer the question what is the connection between the walled cities from the time of Yehoshua, the city of Shushan, & the Kavod (honor) of Eretz Yisrael? In the second half of our shiur we will study Inyan Tet Zayin and learn about Malchus Romi, the mitzva of Matanos LaEvyonim, and the permission to misrepresent oneself under certain specific circumstances. Purim represents the glorious re-establishment of Malchus Yisrael.
