Description
Please refer to the first shiur in this series for the source text. In one place the Rambam connotes that we need a Beis Din chashuv (established court) for pruzbal, while further along he states that the Torah scholars can say in front of Torah students “any loan that is due to me I will be able to collect.” There are conflicting rulings whether we currently require a beis din chashuv (established court). Pruzbal only works for someone who owns land. Does the lender have to write on the pruzbal that he is lending land to the borrower? The Sefer Meytal tries to reconcile the seemingly conflicting rulings in the Rambam.
