Description

Chanukah has to hold the Jewish people until the geula (redemption) comes. Zos Chanukah is hinted to in a pasuk (verse) from Eicha 'zos asher b'libi' (this that is in my heart). Zos Chanukah is the time to daven for Moshiach. David HaMelech was the eigth son of Yishai. The day that the yonah (dove) grabbed the olive branch was the 25th of Kislev. The candles need to be lit specifically under ten tefachim (handbreadths) so that the light of Moshiach can reach the lowest place. This world of seven does not work for us because our root is in the world beyond, of eight. Moshaich will be tortured for 7 years, then will appear the year after Shmitta, the eight year.
