*** Based on Halachah 4 of Hilchos Mezuzah in R' Noson's Likutei Halachos. A person should accustom himself to be in olam habah (the world to come). The mitzvah (commandments) of Mezuzah - to remember G-d. When our permanence in this world causes us to forget that there is another world. The terrible mistake of building a house that is not filled with the truth. A mezuzah reminds us that "Hashem Echad" (G-d is One). The purpose of a Jewish house in this world. Creating peace out of machlokes (strife). Inside the home - a place of peace. Allowing external, destructive influences into the house (e.g., TV, Internet)
