Description

Jerusalem does not come to us, we need to seek her. Longing itself brings the redemption closer. The generation that can no longer withstand the condition it's in will merit to see the redemption. The purpose of mourning over the Beis HaMikdash (Holy Temple) is to arouse our longing for it. The Beis HaMikdash was a place where cries would come out from the depths of a Jew's heart. The yetzer hara's (evil inclination) job is to spiritually kill us by making our Jewish performance dried out. We are in exile but our hearts can still be a Jewish heart!
