What is it about the simcha (joy) of Rebbe Shimon bar Yochai that has no bounds? Rebbe Shimon once saw an angel that resembled a mountain which was going to destroy the world. A mountain is like an evil inclination standing in the way of a Jew and his service to Hashem. The Jewish people will leave exile because of the teachings of the Baal Shem which enable even simple people to serve Hashem with the Zohar and simple faith. In a place where there is no belief in the secrets of the Torah, the revealed Torah does not last. When we feel as though we have nothing left in us and that we cannot fight against the evil inclination, Rebbe Shimon urges us to dig! If we dig into Rebbe Shimon's Torah, Hashem will restore our lives and we will merit to be redeemed.
