Parsha:
Naso

Description

In Parshas Nasso, the Torah describes the possible tragedy of a wife becoming unfaithful to her husband. Hashem's faithful wife is the Jewish nation. There are two levels of Hashem's concealment in this world; one is in the life of physicality, and the second is the denial and rejection of G-d. The first level of separation manifests itself in a wife feeling independent and hiding from her husband. The second stage is rebellion and unfaithfulness. Da'as (intellect) means the ability to reveal G-d's presence when it appears as though He is not there. The beginning of our return to Hashem is through humility. True annihilation of self means the willingness to confess and readjust ourselves to live a faithful life.
