Description

The damage in story of Yoseph began from the distorted sight of his brothers, and the repair began from when the brothers began listening. The children of Yoseph are not affected by the ayin hara (evil eye). Bilam deliberately detached everything from its source for his own use. If we want something that someone else has we are forgetting that everything comes from Hashem. Ninety-nine percent of Jews die from ayin hara, which can be avoided by using our powers of sight and of hearing together. Chanukah is time to repair our vision. The best Chanukah gift is to believe that everything comes from Hashem.
