Esav asked Yaakov how he merited children with such greatness and grace. The purpose of a king is to gather all of the Jewish people together. A true king is a king no matter where he is, even in galus (exile). Esav does not see the beauty in his children, whereas Yaakov sees that they are a gift. Chanukah comes to replace the damage of the middah (quality) of hod (splendor). We have to search for the Yoseph HaTzaddik within us that has fallen away.
