Description

p. 311. At the moment of a nisayon (test) it can be hard to remember the tachlis (the ultimate purpose of life). The biggest nisayon is to be conscious that every moment we are going through a nisayon. Hashem has a special place in His heart for those who fear Him. If you see a tzaddik doing an aveira (sin), you can be sure he did teshuvah by the next day because he lives a thinking life. The goal is to align the mind and heart to make sure that action is correct according to Torah. If a person lives without a cheshbon (accounting) they can get very, very far from the tachlis. Every step along the way, we have to remember the tachlis. This shiur finishes the sefer on the Bilvavi's introduction to Mesilas Yesharim.
