Description

p. 131 Two ways to overcome fear and worries. A person in his natural state is happy and at peace. How can I live a life without my own retzonos (desires) for myself as opposed to ratzon Hashem? The magic words: "I don't want!" We only desire something if we believe that our situation would improve after attaining that which we desired. An erroneous belief that our current matzav (situation) is not good. The billboard advertising the 19th floor ocean-view apartment. A child's intrinsic happiness. A different way of looking at life. Less desire leads to less stress. All advertising feeds on our feeling of lack. Ratzon and chissaron (lack) - the treadmill of misery. The answer: My life is good now! The difference between "accepting the reality that I can't fulfill this particular desire" and simply being happy with my life. Uprooting ratzon vs. just giving up.
