Description

How we can use the state of "levad" (alone) to overcome negative feelings towards others. If we accustom ourself to live with the state of “alone,” we discover a place in our soul that we can enter where no one else is present. We must set aside two minutes a day to be alone with ourself- alone. To attain the world of quiet, we must learn to quiet our thoughts so that the whole world is not in our head. Chanukah is the time to tap into our inner "aloneness" and to strenghten the inner room of our soul. The test of our generation is not to let technology inflitrate into our innermost soul. Deverloping the self-awareness that comes from da’as (labeling, separating): “Are these thoughts related to me, or far from me?”
