Description

We should reflect upon events that at first seemed bad, but turned out to be good. We should ask G-d to help us internalize the notion that everything that occurs is for the best. Whenever we see suffering – even minimal suffering – we should try to believe that it is for the best. A baby suffers as a result of sins in a previous gilgul (reincarnation). The neshama (soul) prefers to suffer than to be distanced from G-d.
