Description

When something bad happens, we must first strengthen ourselves that what happened was tov (good). We see a very limited aspect of Hashem's infinite tov. We do not have the instrument to measure Hashem's goodness. Even in Gan Eden (the world of souls) we will not be able to understand the greatness of the tov in this world. We cannot begin to understand suffering, difficulties, and challenges in this world. Not seeing that everything Hashem does is tov actually distances us from relationship with Hashem. We love to speak to someone who does us good.
