Description

A Jew whose entire way of living is based on inner solitude can hear the bas kol (divine voice). A person who is loud and "out there" will continually struggle with depressions, sadness and worries. The one with the loudest laugh in the crowd is the one with the loudest cry in solitude. We must learn how to carve out a space of quietness in our daily life. Noise of Purim and quietness of Yom Kippur are "two sides of the same coin". Shabbos is the time dedicated for quietness.
