Description

Lack of Ratzon (will) is what prevents us from advancing in our avodah (worship of G-d). The real problem is that we start working on fixing an area before we really want to. True ratzon and pleasure are one and the same thing. When our yiddishkeit is our nishmas chayim (breath of life), then we pursue Torah and mitzvos because of the inner delight we gain from them. As long as we have not attained pleasure we try to build ratzon without pleasure. If we don't want something with all our might, then we don’t feel what we are missing and become lazy.
