Description

The Torah teaches that we are obligated to listen to the sages of each generation in the same way that we are obligated to listen to the Torah. Mesillas Yesharim teaches that we must throw our entire "peckala" (all our burdens) onto Hashem. Ramchal teaches that Hashem most desires the longing of the heart and the yearning of the soul. A cold Jew is not a true Jew. Hashem wants us to want to live by halacha and to channel the desires of our heart to serve only Hashem.
