Fear of G-d is an unpopular topic today. Understanding yiras ha'onesh (fear of punishment) so that it becomes the basis of our coming closer to G-d. We should be afraid that we are not closer to Hashem. Working on yiras ha'onesh should help us to come closer to Hashem and not preoccupied with ourselves. When we feel uninspired we need a strong dose of yiras ha'onesh. The five ways in which yiras ha'onesh can bring us closer to Hashem.
