Description

p 186. Everything was created to serve Adam (man), and we are the central focus of the Creation. Man gives meaning to Creation when he learns and lives by the Torah. A Jew without Torah is worse off than the rest of the world. Being a human being is a pre-requisite to receiving Torah. The Tzelem Elokim (image of G-d) shines on our faces. Than face of a human being is infinitely greater than the sun. The animals only exist as mashal (metaphor), while we have the responsibility to the find the nimshal (straightforward meaning).
