Description

p 157. In the Mishna, the Order of Moed (Times) is connected to the reality of heaven, while the Order of Nashim (Women) is connected to the ability to endure and persist which is earth. Men have a greater potential for growth, but also the greater ability to lose touch with his place in the world. The danger for a woman is to be swallowed by a man. The danger for a man is to be manipulated by a woman through inflating his ego. A Jewish woman runs a greater risk of becoming obsessed with the material world if she does not have Torah. The blurring of distinctions between men and woman has caused much anguish in contemporary society.
