Description
p 146. In order to want something, you have to feel that it is missing, which means you once had it. Only Torah and mitzvos can satisfy a Jew's craving. Moshe was humble because on his level, he knew what was really missing. A number of great Jewish souls went off the derech (left a Torah life) because they could not reconcile the paradox of the body and neshama (soul) together. Through learning Torah, we can be pulled above the physical. Mitzvos based in action usually have a specified time period for their fulfillment. The intellect is a kli (tool) for the neshama to express itself.
